The IPro Tech Software Archive

Hello and welcome to The IPro Tech Software Archive. I created this blog to simplify things for myself and for anyone else who is looking for help on IPro. I ever have questions or need answers for a certain task, this is a lot easier for me to search than calling Tech Support or Navigating their Archive.

Archived Items here can be found on their archive and I do not take ANY credit for these Tips that they provide free on their website.

Although I do take credit for the ones I post ;)

Automatic Login for the Premium Viewer

The IPRO Premium Viewer can use the Windows login name to auto login. To accomplish this, you will need to change the desktop link to the IPRO Premium Viewer.

• Change IPROView link to (path)\i2kprem.exe -N%username%

The N must be capital. The %username% variable will pass the Windows username to IPRO.

IPRO always requires a User Name at login, even if security is disabled. IPRO tracks the system settings by user, specifically, the tag palette. This ensures that a particular user always receives their configured tag list, by project, when they load the Premium Viewer. If IPRO security is enabled, users must still enter their passwords. This setup allows the IPRO system to use Windows security login names as their IPRO login names, providing the users are setup within IPRO properly.

While not usually recommended, the System Administrator can disable the IPRO security, allowing ‘Auto Login’, by following the steps below:

• From the IPRO Tech Configuration Program, select File 􀃆 System Options
• Check the Disable system security

This should only be considered if users are allowed access to all projects or the Windows/Network security actually restricts individual user project directories.
