The IPro Tech Software Archive

Hello and welcome to The IPro Tech Software Archive. I created this blog to simplify things for myself and for anyone else who is looking for help on IPro. I ever have questions or need answers for a certain task, this is a lot easier for me to search than calling Tech Support or Navigating their Archive.

Archived Items here can be found on their archive and I do not take ANY credit for these Tips that they provide free on their website.

Although I do take credit for the ones I post ;)

Concordance and IPRO Camera Button / Backwards DB Link Setup

When linking Concordance and IPRO, you will need to update the DDEIVIEW.CPL file to establish the camera button. Setting up the camera button feature will automatically launch the IPRO Premium Viewer, retrieve the image and allow the backwards link to be activated from the IPRO Premium Viewer.
To edit the DDEIVIEW.CPL file, bring the Concordance application up and complete the following steps.

• Select File 􀃆 Edit Program. This will bring up the open dialog box.

• Browse out to the DDEIVIEW.CPL file and click Open. This will retrieve the DDEIVIEW.CPL file in the CPL Editor program.

• From the Search pull down menu in the CPL Editor, select the Search option.

• In the Find What box, type the word “Spawn” and click Find Next. This will find the first instance of Spawn in the DDEIVIEW.CPL file.

• At the spawn line, you will need to edit the path to the I2kprem.exe file. Either use the UNC (Universal Naming Convention) path or a drive letter specification. For example: \\ipro\apps\i2kprem.exe or F:\APPS\i2kprem.exe.

• After completing the above items, you will need to edit the IPRO Project Setup.
o Open the IPRO Tech Configuration Program
o Select Project Setup
o Click the View button to select the project
o In the Database Link Field enter the name of the field name in the Concordance database that holds the beginning image key. For Example: BEGNO. Click Save and Exit to complete.
