The IPro Tech Software Archive

Hello and welcome to The IPro Tech Software Archive. I created this blog to simplify things for myself and for anyone else who is looking for help on IPro. I ever have questions or need answers for a certain task, this is a lot easier for me to search than calling Tech Support or Navigating their Archive.

Archived Items here can be found on their archive and I do not take ANY credit for these Tips that they provide free on their website.

Although I do take credit for the ones I post ;)

Generating Reports with IPRO Tech Utility Program

There are a variety of reports that can be generated by the IPRO Tech Utility program. They are:

Gaps report
Used to identify possible gaps in a project’s image keys.

Manifest report
Used to determine how many records are located at a particular boundary level in a project.

Volume report
Used to determine the location of platters on the system. Locations include direct access from a hard drive, local CD-ROM access, alternate volume path access and jukebox access.

Filename report
Used with stacked tiff image files and the volumes they are on.

Volume manifest report
Used to determine the locations of the image file across multiple CD-ROMs.

Image key/File log report
Used to determine the volume and filename associated with an image key.

To run a report, from the Launcher select Configure and Load 􀃆 IPRO Tech Utility. Then from the File drop down menu in the IPRO Tech Utility click Select Project to open the project to run the report on. From the Reports dropdown menu select the type of report to run. Determine a name for the report and which directory to save the TEXT file. The program automatically enters the beginning and ending document numbers in the appropriate location. The report generator can show the report in the status box or not. Once the generator is done, navigate to the directory where the report was saved and open it in a text editor such as Notepad to review it.
