The IPro Tech Software Archive

Hello and welcome to The IPro Tech Software Archive. I created this blog to simplify things for myself and for anyone else who is looking for help on IPro. I ever have questions or need answers for a certain task, this is a lot easier for me to search than calling Tech Support or Navigating their Archive.

Archived Items here can be found on their archive and I do not take ANY credit for these Tips that they provide free on their website.

Although I do take credit for the ones I post ;)

How do I import images into IPRO Tech without an LFP file?

You can import a CD of images into an IPROView project without using an LFP file. A generic image key can be assigned or a unique "image file name" can be used. To import images into a project follow the instructions below.

1. From the IPRO Tech Launcher menu, choose Configure and Load > IPRO Tech Configuration Program.

2. From the Configuration program menu, choose Project Setup.

3. From the menu at the top of the Project Setup dialog box, choose File > Create New
Project.

4. Name the project.

5. Click the Modify button next to the Boundaries box and create the project's boundaries, or click Set Defaults.

6. Checkmark Allow Sticky Note Searching. If you want users to be able to search for and/or highlight OCRed text in IPROView Premium, select those options as well.

7. Click Save, then click Cancel/Exit.

8. From the Configuration program menu, choose Utilities > Launch Utilities Program.

9. Choose File > Select Project from the Utility program menu and select the project you created.

10. Choose Import > Import Images from the Utility program menu.

11. Select the options for generating image keys, image storage location, and image type. The example shown here will locate images on a network or local hard drive and automatically generate unique image keys in the form ABC-00001, ABC-00002, etc.

12. Click Start to import the images into the project. When a window asks for a volume name, either accept the default or assign a volume name. This function will import all images supported by IPRO Tech except IPRO 5.3 IMG format or Stacked Tiff Files.
